Purpose

The purpose of the WCSU Supervision and Evaluation Plan is to maximize student learning by providing all teachers and administrators with a process for continuous improvement through goal setting, collaboration, and reflection based the Vermont Core Teaching Standards.

Philosophy

The WCSU teacher evaluation process is grounded in the belief that professional growth is continuous. Our teacher evaluation plan focuses on the relationship between teaching and learning as we seek to fulfill our mission to ensure that all students learn. The administrator is a partner and coach to support the teacher in reaching his/her goals, and to improve student learning. The foundation of this process for teachers will be based on dialogue and self-reflection.
