Dear Leland & Gray Families,

Yes, it is the week before vacation. We are hosting Spirit Week with a series of games and competitions. The finale on Friday will feature each grade competing against the others in skits based on famous commercials. 

When we come back, we will host a PAC meeting at 6:00 pm on January 12th. We will have a great opportunity for collaboration between parents and administration. The PAC would like to continue developing ideas for Project Prom and give feedback on the L&G CIP. Mark your calendars for January 12th, 2026.

Windham Bus Information

Via the Windham School District Board of Directors: There will be a special board meeting on Monday, December 15th at 12pm (online and at the schoolhouse) to take a 2nd look at the budget for FY27 including a discussion of whether or not to stop transporting students, as a function of the district. If you cannot attend, the board asks that you send them emails alerting them to your opinion of that potential decision.  

This will only impact the Windham Bus, not West River Transportation.

There will not be a Windham Bus on Wednesday 1/14

Winter, and all the holiday celebrations that come along with it, is an exciting time of year, especially for teens on school vacation. It’s our job as parents and caring adults to make sure these celebrations are safe and healthy. 
West River Valley Thrives is launching its annual Holiday Lawn Sign Campaign to bring awareness to the issue of teen alcohol use and parent/community responsibility around this topic.
