Cartoon Creations
Program Leader: Kristen Derry
Grades: 1-6
Create your own cartoon in this imaginative program!  With an emphasis on spelling and punctuation, students will design their own characters, settings, and themes to later become their very own comic strip.

November 4, 18, 25, December 2, 9

Cooking with Jessica
Program Leader: Jessica Mowrey
Grades: K-2
Students will learn cooking and baking basics, including following recipes and simple measurements.  Each week students will add the recipes into their very own after-school cookbook.

Latch Hook
Program Leader: Kristen Derry
Grades: 3-6
Welcome to the hands on world of latch hook!  Using yarn, a grid, and a pattern, students will craft a rug throughout the course of the program.  Whether you are new to latch hook or have hooked before all are welcome to join!

Pirate Adventures
Program Leader: Kristen Derry
Grades: K-2
Ahoy, Matey!  Each week students will learn about a famous pirate and then create a pirate craft.  Pirate hats and treasure maps are just the start of this swashbuckling adventure!

Recipes from the Pumpkin Patch
Program Leader: Gwenn Melis
Grades: 3-6
In this class students will learn how to get the squash from a pumpkin to make delicious recipes such as pumpkin bread, pumpkin whoopie pies, pumpkin dump cake and more.  We'll also bake up the seeds to munch on.  In the following weeks, we'll make different recipes from the pumpkin we processed and taste the delicious results.  So if you like to bake, come join us for some fun!

Math Olympiads
Program Leader: Jeremy Schrauf
Grades: 4-6
Students will explore an assortment of math concepts through the use of math puzzles and strategies in preparation for the Math Olympiads competition.

Finger Painting and Poetry
Program Leader: Kristen Derry
Grades: K-2
Listen to the works of popular children's poets such as Shel Silverstein, Roald Dahl, and Jack Prelutsky and then create a work of art using paints and your own fingers!  Students will listen to fun, kooky, and classic poetry and then paint their own illustrations of the story.

Program Leader: Sarah Thorpe
Grades: 3-6
Fold, crease, and form!  In this program students will learn the basics of Origami, the traditional art of Japanese paper folding.  Animals, flowers, and boxes are just a taste of what we will create!
